Excellent food! Excellent service!!!

Posted bymichael_bushon 11/16/2009

My wife and I stopped in to try something new. We were astonished at the service. Never did my drink get empty, our food arrived very quickly, and our server always had a smile on her face. We will most definately be making a return trip this place. The food was very flavorful and a delight to see as well as eat with the chefs artful presentation of the food. A must try if you haven't already!!

A dining experience to remember

My experience at Jim's was great. What I liked the most about the restaurant is the fact that you are not limited to what is on the menu. They try to accomodate your likes/wants to the best of their ability. You can switch out sides for other ones at no extra charge, you can ask for 2 dressings for one salad....yea, they do their best to take care of you. PLUS, the food is great!!! The meat on the ribs was tender and you could tell it was really hickory smoked not "faked". So all in all I give Jim's 5 stars and recommend it to those of you who enjoy a great atmosphere, fun servers, and great food.

Enjoyable Evening at Jim's BBQ

3/10/09 was our first visit to Jim's. It was a very enjoyable experience. We were treated to free "lite" appetizers while waiting for our meals. We had generous portions of the pulled & chopped Bar-B-Que. The collards were good. They are not heavily seasoned, but add the hot sauce and you're home. Service is enhanced by joking remarks from the staff. If you do not like laughing, stay out of here. TRY this place for yourself. I bet you'll be humming to the oldies that play during your dinning adventure.

Ok not great

The food is always decent but service is really annoying most of the time and it can take forever.

our visit to jim's famous bbq was a disaster, our waiter was also the bartender, the bbq its like been soak in water overnight with no taste, the cole slaw was like cut up pieces of stuff but nothing added & no taste..the collard greens was wiltered laying around the side of the bowl,,,,,we told the waiter that the cole slaw was terrible he then called the owner JIM & when he asked how the food was and we told him the food was bad he was very sarcastic and he is a owner that dont know how to deal with customer and we will not go back again..we have ate at this place more than 20x but this was our last.......find new a good restaurant and better service.........JIM IS A RUDE PERSON
